Impact tracking workshop delivered for BCU’s Scool of English
Early in 2018, Dr Serena Trowbridge from BCU’s School of English attended one of our research impact workshops, and asked us to run another session for her colleagues at the school. We were able to tailor a session for them on on 7th November, on Tracking Research Impact, applying processes to some of their live projects in a few simple exercises and discussion. “I was pleased with how well attended it was,” said Serena, “and everyone commented how helpful they found it, giving us the tools to build impact into a research project, whatever stage it is at, and helping us to think about the different ways in which we might track and measure impact.”
One point made during our workshop was that projects can get the most out of working with an impact officer or evaluator from day one of the project, rather than wishing at project close that they’d made a better effort to collect data and in useful ways. If you’re interested in hearing more about how we can help your projects, feel free to drop us a line sooner, rather than later.
